According to some Hopi this Kachina represents a planet but to many others it is a meteor that is the Chasing Star. The Kachina wears an enormous, intricately carved, headdress of trailing eagle feathers. He carries a yucca whip and a bell. He is posed in action and exquisitely hand painted detailing the Hopi origin. The skirt and mask are extremely dimensional, enhancing the impressive artistry of this Kachina. This unique Kachina measures 11” tall x 4” wide x 5” deep. It is securely attached to the base with wooden pegs, making it extremely sturdy.
